March 2005, joined Ministry of Mines and Energy; spearheaded and campaigned for the restructuring of the Namibian diamond industry, which resulted in Namibian diamonds to be cut and polished locally; also played a role in the establishment of Epangelo Mining (a state company) in 2009. Since March 2010, Minister of Works and Transport, in-charge of safeguarding rail, roads, aviation, ports and government buildings.
