Federico Banos-Lindner

Senior Vice-President, Government Relations and Public Affairs, DP World

Federico Banos-Lindner was appointed Group Vice President for External Relations of DP World, effective from 20 January 2019. In this role, Mr Banos-Lindner also leads the Group's global government relations, public affairs and partnerships activities.
Mr Banos-Lindner is an internationally experienced senior executive with in-depth business knowledge and strong credentials in external and government relations, policy analysis, business-critical communications, stakeholder management, and complex negotiations, and has acquired considerable experience in leveraging, protecting and enhancing corporate brand and reputation.
A former US Marine, Mr Banos-Lindner’s career spans a wide range of leadership roles in business. He started his career with the Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas, after receiving a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Houston. After completing an MBA at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, Mr Banos-Lindner joined Royal Dutch Shell (now Shell plc), where he held various management and senior management commercial and functional roles over a 16-year career with the energy supermajor.
Benefitting from a multilingual and multicultural upbringing, Mr Banos-Lindner acquired profound insights into cultural issues in business, having worked throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Mr Banos-Lindner researched the role of culture in negotiations between multinational corporations and governments in Sub-Saharan Africa at the University of Cambridge, where he obtained a Master’s in International Relations.
Mr Banos-Lindner sits on the Group Communications Leadership Team and serves on the Federation of European Private Port Companies (FEPORT) board, based in Brussels.
