FORSAN HUSSEIN
Forsan is an investor, entrepreneur, turnaround CEO, and a board member. Currently he serves as the CEO of Zaitoun Ventures, an investment company capturing special situation investment opportunities in early stage technology companies and operating businesses with a special focus of connecting USA, MENA, Israel and the GCC markets. Zaitoun Ventures also licenses and distributes technologies solutions and products throughout USA, MENA, and Asia.
Forsan is the Chairman of Doxy Tech Ltd, a leading green energy EPCM specializing in solar energy solutions and investing in strategic large scale projects aimed at improving energy security in MENA. Forsan cofounded and chaired Hasoub Angels, the first angel investment club investing in Palestinian entrepreneurs and Arab-Israeli technology startups.
Forsan assumed the role of a turnaround CEO of the Jerusalem International YMCA and the Three Arches Company. After business school, Forsan worked in investment management for Capital Group Companies—3 trillion USD in AUM. Forsan became the first ever Palestinian to chair a publicly traded company on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (BSP and IceCure). In addition, he mentors various startup CEOs and volunteers with nonprofits and community organizations.
Forsan is a Kauffman Fellow for innovation investing, a fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. Forsan holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, M.A. in international economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and MBA from Harvard Business School.
