Gaurav is a Healthcare Consultant and socially conscious citizen, driven by a desire to unify decentralised health, welfare schemes and academic fellowships more accessible for eligible beneficiaries.
This desire stems from his personal journey and his developmental years in a small town on the outskirts of Maharashtra (India), which shaped his outlook and fueled him to co-found Karmanya (NPO) a digital platform enabling ‘accessible health, welfare and education for the last-mile communities’ centred around government welfare schemes and academic fellowships with end-to-end application support, as well as reliable information about prevalent medical conditions, illnesses, and medications via Microsite, WhatsApp, SMS and On-Call Assistance.
Gaurav is a NITI Aayog’s Mentor of Change, a government initiative to acquaint (Class 6th to Class 12th) students and drive innovation with 21st century skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India. In addition to that, he is an Adjunct Faculty in the fields of Management and Pharmaceutical Sciences at two Universities and Industry Expert in various institutions, impacting 1000+ students every year.
An alumnus of BITS Pilani (IoE), Gaurav first started out in the development sector as Freelance Writer for Times of India and Host for LinkedIn Local, then went on to organise TEDx Events because he believes not only in the power of 'ideas worth sharing' but also in the potential of 'ideas worth doing'. This gradually led him to establish the Global Shaper Community’s - Kolhapur Hub (an initiative of the World Economic Forum) empowering his actions to achieve the Global Goals.
Gaurav believes that shortfall in tech acumen or cognizance shouldn't cause a setback; rather, technology should be tailored to the user’s needs and capabilities.
