Gerald Podobnik is Chief Financial Officer of the Corporate Bank division at Deutsche Bank.
In this role, he is responsible for all financial matters of the division, including accounting, reporting, planning, performance management, balance sheet resources as well as strategy. Prior to taking up the CFO role in August 2019, Gerald was leading DB’s Financial Institutions Group in EMEA and Capital Solutions & Sustainable Financing Group globally, advising banks and insurance companies on their funding, capital issuance as well as sustainable financing. Gerald is deputy chair of Deutsche Bank’s sustainability council and a member of the sustainable finance advisory committee of the German government.
Gerald holds a doctorate degree in law and a master degree in business administration from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, Austria.
