Grace Natalie is co-founder and Chairperson of The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), a political party in Indonesia that focuses on women rights and Indonesian youth. She built her career as a journalist, television presenter and the chief executive officer of research institution before entering politics. She is recognized as representing the future of Indonesian politics, as a young, Chinese-Indonesian, Christian women.
Her vision is for Indonesia to experience political revolution. She believed that participatory politics, meritocratic leadership, and an accountable and professionally managed political party are mandatory. These principles have been successfully implemented in PSI.
Currently PSI has more than 25.000 party committee at the national level down to the sub-district level. All below 45 years old and have never been involved in any political party’s boards of managements before. In 2016, PSI became the only new political party that has passed Ministry of Law and Human Rights’ verification and secured legal status.
