Guo Su

Secretary-General, Ningxia Yanbao Charitable Foundation

Ms. GUO Su once worked for the Department of American and Ocean Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, as well as for the Organizing Committee of the International Capital Conference of the Bo’ ao Forum for Asia. She also participated in promoting multiple international business negotiations. She devoted her career to the field of philanthropy in 2008. As the founding member of the China Philanthropy Research Institute at Beijing Normal University and China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI), she takes charge of the global cooperative development of CGPI and founded the global first training program for Chinese newly-emerging philanthropists Global Philanthropy Leaders Program (GPL). She has nearly 14 years’ experience on NPO management, having presented a number of successful cases in many aspects, such as NGO management, program design, philanthropy strategic consulting, branding and fund raising. As the chief superintendent, she has organized four East-West Philanthropy Forums in Hawaii, US. She has established in-depth cooperative relationship with multiple philanthropist families and charitable organizations in the US, Britain, France, Japan and India; what’ s more, she has played a role in the registration or establishment of many family foundations in China. In addition, she wrote several papers and essays like Research on China's Import of Iron Ore, Report on China's Social Welfare Development in 2011—New Disability Benefits System, and The New Version of Niu Gensheng’ s Life as A Philanthropist, which have been released and published by Beijing Normal University Press,China Philanthropy Times.
From July 2019, she holds the position of Executive Secretary of the Yanbao Charity Foundation. She is mainly responsible for the cooperation and management of the donation projects of the foundation, as well as international cooperation and exchanges. The foundation mainly focuses on education, medical care and the elderly care, environmental protection, and global agricultural talent cultivation. By the end of 2019, the foundation has donated nearly 2 billion RMB in total, benefiting nearly 200,000 students, becoming China's largest poverty alleviation project by education in China.
