With Carnegie Mellon University: directs undergraduate Robotics Minor and teaches overview course on Robotics which uses series of custom developed Lego Labs; research on applications in confined spaces; created programme in snake robots, applied to problems in areas including surgery, manufacturing, infrastructure inspection and search and rescue; co-founded, Cardiorobotics, which makes a small surgical snake robot for minimally invasive surgery.
