Since January 2010, Chief Executive Officer, and since January 2012, Chairman, Morgan Stanley; joined the firm in February 2006; December 2007, named Co-President. Formerly: held a succession of executive positions at Merrill Lynch; Senior Partner, McKinsey & Co.; began career as an attorney in Melbourne, Australia. Among civic activities, serves as a Director, Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Council on Foreign Relations; Co-Chair of the Board of Overseers, Columbia Business School; Member, Monetary Authority of Singapore International Advisory Panel, the Business Council, and the Board of the Institute of International Finance. Formerly served as President of the Federal Advisory Council to the U.S. Federal Reserve Board, Co-Chairman of the Partnership for New York City, Chairman of the Board of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and Co-Chairman of the Business Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. BA and degree in Law, University of Melbourne; MBA, Columbia University.
