James Rosenfield, Senior Vice President, S&P Global, is Co-Founder of Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), an acquisition of IHS Markit. Mr. Rosenfield created and is Co-Chairman, with Daniel Yergin, of CERAWeek, the premier international gathering of senior energy executives and officials, whose evolution he has overseen for over three decades. Mr. Rosenfield spearheads key global IHS Markit energy initiatives, including “The Unconventional Gas Revolution and the Carbon Agenda,” “North America’s New Energy Future,” “Challenge to Germany’s Global Competitiveness in a New Energy World,” and the annual IHS Markit–World Economic Forum (WEF) “Energy Vision” report. He has spoken at the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, at the United Nations in Geneva, and at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, among other symposia. Mr. Rosenfield leads the S&P Global CERAWeek Innovation Pioneers Program and is on the Selection Committee of the WEF Technology Pioneers Program. He is a founder of the New England Clean Energy Council and is nonexecutive Director of the technology firms Aircuity, AzimaDLI, and Acumentrics Corporation. He is a Trustee of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Mr. Rosenfield received his undergraduate education at Harvard College and holds an MBA from Boston University. He completed the Senior Fellow Program at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in 2007.
