Career initially in the private sector, with a background in international marketing in technology, rising to Managing Director, Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters). 1999, moved to West Africa with Oxfam and was promoted to International Director. From 2005, CEO, Save the Children UK. Since 2010, first International Chief Executive Officer, Save the Children. 2011, became Non-Executive Director, BT. One of the 100 most powerful women in the UK, BBC (2013).
