Senior Executive Vice-President; Head, Brand and Sustainability Initiatives, Hanwha Group

Jeeyoung Park is Senior EVP, Head of Brand and Sustainability Initiatives at Hanwha Communications Committee of Hanwha Group, the 7th largest enterprise in South Korea and a Fortune Global 500 company. She is responsible for overseeing the group’s overall brand strategy and purpose along with sustainability initiatives. As Head of the World Economic Forum partnership, she also leads the group’s engagement with Center for Nature and Climate which is one of the key platforms of the WEF and is a member of Chief Sustainability Leaders Community.

With almost 30 years of experience, she has an expertise in creating public engagement campaigns addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals and has led several sustainability initiatives including:
- Solar Forest, Hanwha’s global reforestation project, which was recognized as the first innovation case of utilizing solar energy to fight desertification by the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and also cited as an exemplary case of corporate partnerships contributing to sustainable development at UN’s High-Level Political Forum 2018, organized by the South Korean Foreign Ministry
- 'Cleanup Mekong' Campaign with Hanwha Solar Boat, which received the Gold award for New York Festivals, Clio Awards, The One Show, The Works by Campaign Brief, SABRE Awards Diamond and ADFEST Awards
- ‘What Color for Tomorrow?’ Campaign, which was recognized by the best of the best for Red Dot Award, Clio Awards and London International Awards
- Solar Beehive project for biodiversity, which received multiple awards from New York Festivals and Clio Awards.

She previously spoke at the 2019 International Renewable Energy Conference and received the Presidential Citation for distinguished achievement of raising public awareness on the value of climate action and carbon emission reduction from the government of the Republic of Korea in 2021.

Previously, Jeeyoung served as Director of Brand Experience for Cheil Worldwide, Samsung’s in-house brand consulting firm, increasing the ‘Samsung’ brand value from public relations and marketing services to brand experience and communications. Her achievements include creating Samsung Mobile Unpacked, the global marketing platform of Samsung Galaxy S and directing the global brand communications for Samsung TV. She also oversaw Samsung’s global corporate communications and Olympic Games marketing.

She was a jury of Cannes Lions for the Creative Effectiveness Lions 2018 and the Sustainable Development Goals Lions 2023 and the Google Premier Partners Award 2019.
