Jeremias read law at Oxford, Paris, and Harvard Law School, and is now a Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, a Fellow of Magdalen College, and Deputy Director of the Institute of European and Comparative Law,

He is the author of numerous books and articles, most recently "Humans as a Service" (OUP 2018), and advises governments, international organisations, and professional services firms on regulating for an innovative and competitive future of work. Together with Professor Abi Adams of the Oxford Economics Department, he has recently embarked on a new project to explore the potential of digital dispute resolution in employment and beyond.

Jeremias' research and its real-world impact have been recognised by a number of prizes, including a British Academy Rising Star Engagement Award, the Modern Law Review's Lord Wedderburn Prize, and the ESRC Outstanding Impact in Public Policy Prize.
