Kara is head of the Sustainable Finance Group, which advances an integrated approach to sustainability through central coordination of the firm’s policies, the deepening of sustainable finance expertise and by working in partnership with our businesses to drive client impact and deliver on our sustainability commitments, including our $750 billion sustainable finance target.
Previously, Kara was global head of Climate Strategy, responsible for working with stakeholders throughout Goldman Sachs to deliver on the firm's climate initiatives. Prior to that, she served as chief operating officer of the Sustainable Finance Group and as a managing director in Investor Relations, working closely with the firm’s global investor base. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2008 as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division and was named managing director in 2017.
Kara earned a BS in English and Finance from Boston College and an executive MBA from Columbia Business School. Kara serves as a board trustee for Sustainable Princeton and she was named a 2020 Millennium Leadership Fellow by the Atlantic Council.
