Kathleen Reedy

Anthropologist at the RAND Corporation, RAND Corporation

Kathleen Reedy is an anthropologist at the RAND Corporation, where she focuses on Middle Eastern culture and politics; military training; and military organizational culture. Prior to joining RAND, she worked for the U.S. Air Force as part of an Advisor training mission and for the U.S. Army as a social scientist in both Iraq and Afghanistan. She also spent over a year conducting ethnographic research in Syria. Her research has covered nationalism, political identities, governance, rule of law, and the gaps between policy and practice in war zones.
Reedy received her Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, and her undergraduate degree from Penn State.
