Professor Dame Kay Davies (CBE, FRS, FMedSci) is Deputy Chair of the Board of Governors of the Wellcome Trust. She is Dr Lee’s Professor of Anatomy at the University of Oxford, Honorary Director of the MRC Functional Genomics Unit, founding fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society. She is a co-founder of biotechnology company Summit plc, and her interests include spin-out companies, neuromuscular and neurological disease, genetic research and public understanding of science.
