Madeleine von Holzen started her career as an economic journalist, in daily press and at Swiss Television. She received the award of “Excellence in Business Journalism”, given by the Harvard Club of Switzerland to one Swiss economic journalist.
From 2009 to 2013, she was deputy director of publications at Edipresse, then Tamedia, in charge of the digital strategy for the French speaking newspapers and magazines of the group. She co-founded a company and created the first Ranking of Swiss Universities, launched a Student Fair in Geneva and published content in relation to education.
She also gained a strong management experience out of the media field, as Director of the Development Office at the EPFL (Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) and member of the Management Board of Geneva Airport.
