Mr. Marcelo José Ferreira e Silva served as Superintendent Officer at Magazine Luiza S.A. from 2009 to 2015. Mr. Silva served as Chief Executive Officer and Member of Executive Board at Magazine Luiza S.A. until April 12, 2016. Mr. Silva served as the Chief Operating Officer of Magazine Luiza S.A. He was the President at Casas Pernambucanas. Mr. Silva began his career in the audit area of Arthur Andersen & Co, from 1971 to 1978. He worked in the finance area of Grupo Bompreco, from 1978 to 2001. Mr. Silva served as Superintendent Officer at G. BARBOSA since 2002 and at Casas Pernambucanas from 2002 to 2009. Mr. Silva served in senior positions at a number of other retailers, including Bompreço. Mr. Silva has a wealth of retail experience as well as insight into family-owned Brazilian organisations. He has been Vice Chairman of Magazine Luiza S.A. since April 12, 2016. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Indústrias Reunidas Raymundo da Fonte S.A. and Grupo Sílvio Santos. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Óticas Carol S.A. He serves as Independent Director of Movida Participações S.A. He serves as a Member of Brazilian Advisory Board of 3i Group Plc. Mr. Silva received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade Federal De Pernambuco- UFPE in 1972 and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco - UNICAP. He holds a post graduate degree in finance administration from Fundação de Ensino Superior de Pernambuco - FESP.
