Over 50 percent of its asset portfolio is in renewable and low carbon energy: wind & solar projects, renewable natural gas, battery storage, grid optimization, carbon capture, critical transition minerals, and environmental products.
In 2023, Mercuria established Silvania, a $500 million nature investment vehicle to restore and protect nature and biodiversity globally, in support of the Paris Agreement goals and the UN 30x30 biodiversity initiative.
Prior to co-founding Mercuria, Marco held senior positions at Goldman Sachs, Citi Group and Sempra Energy. He is Swiss and a graduate of the University of Geneva’s School of Economics and Management.
