Maria leads the Entrepreneurship Centre at Said Business School, University of Oxford. The Entrepreneurship Centre plays a significant role in supporting student futures at Oxford Saïd, working with other departments to underpin the curricular and co-curricular, personal and entrepreneurial goals of our students. MBA & Executive MBA mentor for the Entrepreneurship Project.
She has a wealth of experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, international negotiation & partnerships management.
Her professional career has spanned a range of sectors including publishing, banking, B2B, public sector and consulting. Co- founder of 2 start ups. Maria is innovation coach and a certified facilitator for the FORTH innovation methodology. She has also worked for a Regional Development Agency (Business Innovation Centre) depending on the Government of Navarra for 8 years, running the Entrepreneurs Area to help entrepreneurs to find their business model and start ups to scale up. She increased engagement, and scaled the work of the Entrepreneurship Area to include the first lean start up accelerator in Spain.
Maria has a BA in Business Management & Economics from the University of Navarra, and an Executive MBA from Oxford Brookes University focusing her dissertation on tacit knowledge sharing within organisations to facilitate effective innovation. She has been trained with the Entrepreneurship Program delivered by IESE. A natural collaborator, team worker, opportunity seeker, innovation supporter and purposeful leader.
