Mohammed Zahidullah is Chief Sustainability Officer at DBL Group – one of the largest companies in the apparel and textile industry in Bangladesh which supply to large brands globally. Zahid has been with DBL Group for 17 years where he has gained diverse experience in the fields of Social & Environmental Sustainability, Corporate Strategy & Management Consulting. In this role, Zahid works to promote social responsibility for Bangladeshi garment workers by implementing inclusive business models that include producers, suppliers, distributors and even consumers.
Through a wide range of programs aimed at improving the lives of workers, particularly women and children Zahid regularly works with a broad range of stakeholders, including UN agencies. He is currently managing several sustainability projects, including initiatives to empower women in supply chains. He is a commerce graduate with post graduate diplomas in Foreign Trade Management and Management Consulting.
Zahid has 25 years of experience in the apparel, textiles, sporting goods, ceramic tableware and electronics industries. He conducts all his work with the fundamental belief that “Reward of doing good, is nothing but good”.
