Meghan M. FitzGerald serves as the president of Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions, a specialty healthcare business that offers services for healthcare providers, payers, and pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Specialty Solutions is one of the fastest growing businesses of Cardinal Health. During FitzGerald’s tenure, Specialty Solutions has successfully launched the business in oncology and urology, offering customers an array of comprehensive services designed to improve patient care. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, FitzGerald was senior vice president of New Markets International Division and Business Development at Medco Health Solutions, Inc., where she was responsible for leading business development efforts in the United States and internationally. She previously held positions of increasing responsibility at Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals, where she supported business strategies and operations, including the implementation of ten-year lifecycle plans for various pharmaceutical products including Celebrex. FitzGerald has also held marketing positions at Merck and Sanofi-Synthelabo. She is a member of the Harvard Kennedy School, Women and Public Policy and the Yale University Biotech Advisory boards. She lecturers at Columbia University on the "Business of Healthcare". FitzGerald also recently joined the board of SeniorLink, an innovative, proven model of in-home care for elders and individuals with disabilities. In 2009 and 2010, she was voted one of the most influential Irish American women in business.
