Moritz Petersen is a Senior Researcher at Kühne Logistics University. Holding a scholarship from ThyssenKrupp, he studied Industrial Engineering at HWI Hamburg. After having finished his diploma in 2010, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Business Logistics and General Management at Hamburg University of Technology. During that time, he worked on several publicly funded national and international research projects in the area of logistics and supply chain management. Also, he worked on industry projects with renowned companies like Lufthansa Technik. He finished his doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kersten in 2017.
Since 2016, Moritz Petersen works as a Senior Researcher at KLU and focuses on applied logistics research and industry projects at the intersection of management and engineering. His research interests include sustainability considerations in global supply chains and applications of new technology in logistics systems.
