2000, MA in Psychology, University of Copenhagen; 2003, PhD, Aarhus University. 2007, founded Cognitive Neuroscience Research Unit. 2011, Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience. Leader of many large-scale European research projects. Pioneer in translational neuroscience, investigating how subjective consciousness relate to behavioural measures and brain processes. Research guided by two kinds of integrations: between humanities/philosophy of mind and neuroscience; and clinical work (neurorehabilitation and psychiatry) and basic research. Works on theories of the brain that include subjective experience.
