Mothanna Gharaibeh

Minister of Investment, Ministry of Investments of Jordan

Mothanna Gharaibeh is the Minister of Investment in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Before he assumed office, he was the CEO and Founder of The Fifth Expert, an advisory service that provides guidance to institutions in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. Gharaibeh also served as an executive board member of the Innovative SMEs and Startups Fund (ISSF) of Jordan, a $100 million early-stage SME fund.

From 2018 to 2020, Gharaibeh was the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in Jordan, where he was the youngest minister in the cabinet. During his tenure, he significantly advanced Jordan's digital infrastructure, increasing digital governmental transactions by 580% year-over-year and opening the National Broadband Network for Public-Private Partnerships. He also played a key role in creating essential laws and regulations, including the Cyber Security Law and the Personal Data Privacy Draft Law.

Before his government role, Gharaibeh led Ericsson's operations in Jordan and worked in various capacities across the Middle East. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering and has attended executive courses at Harvard and the Aspen Institute.
