Currently Professor of Mathematical Biology, Division of Epidemiology, Public Health and Primary Care, Imperial College London; uses mathematical and statistical models to investigate process shaping infectious disease pathogenesis, evolution and transmission. Recipient of awards: OBE (2001); Fellowship, Academy of Medical Sciences (2005).
