Former Managing Director, Goldman Sachs International, London; led the team that gave a presentation on Nigeria's economic potential to Nigerian President and Economic Team and which led to launch of Nigeria's Vision 2020 programme. 2010, returned to Nigeria to work in government: Minister of Finance, leading est. of Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund and launched first sovereign Eurobond; Chairman, Nigerian National Economic Management Team; Governor representing Nigeria, Governing Boards, World Bank and IMF, and Chairman, Joint Board of Governors, World Bank and IMF, 2010 Annual Meetings; Governor, African Development Bank. Currently, Minister of Trade and Investment of Nigeria; chaired 2011 WTO Ministerial. Former Member: International Board, Technoserve; European Commission Expert Group on Alternative Investment Management. Founder, Nigeria Leadership Initiative, Aspen Global Leadership Network. Recipient of awards and honours, including: Commander of the Order of Niger for contribution to national development (2011).
