A Career Diplomat, currently a Secondment to UNESCO in Paris as a Program Officer for the 2001 Convention for The Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.

Previously the Technical Assistant to the Vicepresident and Chancelor of Panama, where she focused on projects regarding gender equality like the Equal Pay International Coalition and the Gender Parity Innitiative as well as bolster the creation and implementation of the Cultural Diplomacy and Scientific Diplomacy strategies amongst other topics.

Within the Global Shapers Panama City Hub (previous hub of which she was a founding member) she is one of the organizers of Creative Mornings Panama City in charge of speakers, yet since 2012 she has been an active member in different projects addressing culture and education.

Currently she is part of the Impact Council for Global Shapers that serves the whole community. She is a founder and board member of Hecha y Derecha, an NGO whose purpose is to give opportunities to women at the base of the economic pyramid.

Paola is a certified life coach, passionate about gender equality as well as culture and its role in development. Regardless of where she is, she is commited to helping others reach their full potential while embracing where they come from and who they are.
