Rachel Duan

Rachel Duan is the President & CEO of GE’s Global Growth Organization (GGO). She is responsible for leading the global growth markets with a focus on a Company-to-Country approach, demand creation, financing efforts, talent development, risk management, and building a strong GE brand.

In addition to her global role, Rachel serves as President & CEO of GE China. Rachel’s strategic focus on deepening GE’s localization efforts across the value chain, building stronger partnerships, and accelerating GE’s digital industrial transformation have yielded significant growth outcomes for the Company in China.

Rachel’s 22-year career at GE began in 1996 when she joined the Corporate Audit Staff. She progressed through a number of leadership roles across markets and businesses, including Six Sigma Quality Leader for GE Plastics Asia-Pacific, based in Tokyo; the Lexan Commercial Director for GE Plastics Greater China; and Marketing Director for Greater China, and then for Asia-Pacific. She also served as President & CEO, GE Advanced Materials, Greater China, and President & CEO, Momentive Performance Materials, Asia-Pacific. Most recently, Rachel was President & CEO, GE Healthcare China.

A native of Shanghai, China, Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business from Shanghai International Studies University and an MBA from The University of Wisconsin – Madison in the United States. She presently serves on the Board of multinational insurance firm AXA Group.
