Rawan is a clinical psychologist who is passionate about accelerating access to mental health services for all, taking into consideration cross-cultural impacts on training and treatments. Rawan strives to create inclusive and safe spaces that address the complex challenges surrounding mental health on a global scale. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped set up a psychological self-help platform in Oman. She is involved in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work and is part of an award-winning team who developed an anti-racism strategy for psychology training.
Alongside this, Rawan's current focus impact areas within the Muscat Hub are climate action and upskilling and reskilling, with a vision of empowering people within the community.
