Sana made her debut for Pakistan in 2005 and has been the National champion since 2007. She has been the captain since 2009. She was the Asian Champion in 2010. She has been the Good Will Ambassador for Dil Foundation since 2011. She was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2012. She was the PCB Woman cricketer in 2013 and got the Fatima Jinnah award in 2014. She led Pakistan to a historical win against India in World Cup 2012 and wins over England, South Africa etc.
