Dr. Sundeep Oberoi has 36 years of industry, research and entrepreneual experience in diverse areas of Information and Communication Technology. He has a wide spectrum of experience in Delivery Management of large and critical programmes, technology development, product development, business development, system integration and management of research laboratories. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from I.I.T Bombay, an M.Tech in Computer Science from I.I.T. Delhi and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from I.I.T. Kanpur.

Dr. Oberoi is the Global Delivery Head for the Cybersecurity Practice, sub-unit of Business & Technology Organization. In this capacity he is responsible for the delivery of all Managed Security, Professional Services and Operations Support Services in the Security and Risk Management area for all TCS customer engagements globally.
Prior to this Dr. Oberoi has been heading the Niche Technology Delivery Group which was a part of the Technology Excellence Group in TCS. The role of the group was to provide delivery in specialized technology domains like Security, RFID Sensors and NFC, Web2.0 technologies, User Experience, Collaboration and Unified Communication, Cloud Computing and Next Generation Networks. The group was running the TCS Certifying authority, supporting and evolving some of TCS flagship enterprise security solutions (Dhruvam®, FormSigner®, Security Services Framework) to address security requirements in Banking, Finance, Insurance, Government and Telecom sectors.

Dr. Oberoi has also been in a variety of roles including heading the security consulting practice within the TCS Global Consulting Group.

Dr. Oberoi is designated as TCS CEO’s deputy on the Future of Internet initiative of the World Economic Forum and a member of the World Economic Forum Public-Private cooperation.

Dr. Oberoi is recently appointed as Chairman of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC7 technical sub-committee dealing with standards for systems and software engineering globally.

Dr. Oberoi is the author of two books and several conference and journal publications, and holds CISSP credential.
