Victoria Alonsoperez

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Chipsafer

Victoria Alonsoperez is a Uruguayan inventor, an innovator, and the Founder & CEO of Chipsafer, based in Singapore.
She is an Electronics & Telecommunications Engineer and her patented inventions pioneered the satellite-enabled livestock tracking industry. She is a UN ‘Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals’, an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) ‘Small Business Champion’, and a World Economic Forum (WEF) ‘Young Global Leader’. She has a passion for space, and expertise in satellite technology & applications, the internet of things, sustainability, and impact innovation.
Victoria has been recognised internationally with awards including: ‘Best Young Inventor Award’ by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), ‘Innovator of the Year: Argentina & Uruguay’ by the MIT Technology Review, Winner of the International Telecommunication Union ‘Young Innovators Competition’, and the ‘Young Space Leader Award’ by International Astronautical Federation (IAF). Her company Chipsafer has been awarded ‘Most Innovative Startup of Latin America’ by the Inter-American Development Bank and second prize in Chivas Regal’s global ‘The Venture’ competition. In 2017, she was invited to present Chipsafer at the Solutions Summit at the UN Headquarters during the UN General Assembly. She has also been listed in the BBC’s global list of ‘30 female entrepreneurs under 30’.
Her prior roles have included: Digital Innovation Lead at Airbus (where she led the creation of the Agriculture Digital Platform, AgNeo), Special Advisor to the President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), Board Member of the Space Foundation, and Chair of the Space Generation Advisory Council (a global NGO supporting the UN Programme on Space Applications). She attended International Space University, where she co-designed a medical experiment for astronauts that won the Barcelona ZeroG Challenge, and worked as a Teaching Associate with the Space Engineering Department.
She has High Functioning Autism, and a passion for the advocacy of neurodiversity.
