Geneva, Switzerland, 4 February 2015 – Media accreditation is now open for the 24th World Economic Forum on East Asia, which will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, 19-21 April 2015.

As the world’s fourth most populous nation and one of the fastest-growing G20 economies, Indonesia will host the World Economic Forum on East Asia in Jakarta with the support of President Joko Widodo and the members of his government. The meeting will be held Jakarta under the theme, Anchoring Trust in East Asia’s New Regionalism, and will focus on three pillars: The New Regional Context; The New Economic Context; The New Citizen Context.

“We are holding the 24th World Economic Forum on East Asia to highlight the importance of enhancing dialogue to improve regional cooperation and advance critical decisions for accelerating sustainable socio-economic development. For this reason, we are bringing together senior leaders from business, politics, civil society and academia in a critical year for the region,” said Sushant Palakurthi Rao, Senior Director, Head of Asia-Pacific, World Economic Forum.

The meeting Co-Chairs so far are: John Riady, Executive Director, Lippo Group, Global Shaper; Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Chief Executive Officer, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) and William Lacy Swing, Director-General, International Organization for Migration (IOM).

As the number of accreditations issued is strictly limited, we will not be able to accommodate late registrations. No accreditation will be granted on-site.
