Geneva, Switzerland, 08 March 2016 - Media accreditation is now open for the 25th World Economic Forum on ASEAN, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 1-2 June 2016.

With the support of the Government of Malaysia the Forum will hold the meeting under the theme, Shaping the ASEAN Agenda for Inclusion and Growth. The meetings programme will evolve around the three pillars of Driving Sustainable Growth and Social Inclusion, Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Strengthening Regional Relationships.

“Having spent the past year as chair of ASEAN, and ushering in the birth of the ASEAN Economic Community, Malaysia is well placed to host the 25th World Economic Forum on ASEAN. The meeting will offer an opportunity for business and public sector leaders not only to take stock of the region’s integration, but also to debate the challenges that lie ahead and how best the region can tackle them,” said Justin Wood, Head of Asia Pacific, Member of the Executive Committee, World Economic Forum.

The Co-Chairs of the meeting are: Kathleen Chew, Group Legal Counsel, YTL Corporation Berhad; Yoshiaki Fujimori, President and Chief Executive Officer, LIXIL Group Corporation; Shahril bin Shamsuddin, President and Group Chief Executive Officer, SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad; Salil Shetty, Secretary-General, Amnesty International and George Yeo, Visiting Scholar, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

If you would like to cover this event, please register online at www.weforummedia.org by Friday 6 May. As the number of accreditation issued is strictly limited, we will not be able to accommodate late registrations. No accreditation will be granted on-site.
