The World Economic Forum is committed to being an independent, impartial platform for dialogue. It acknowledges that the host country has invited all heads of state of SADC countries, including President Mugabe of Zimbabwe.

In order to establish a constructive dialogue on the future of Zimbabwe, the Forum has therefore also invited members of the key opposition parties. A session to discuss the future of Zimbabwe will be added to the programme of the meeting.

More than 1,000 participants are taking part in the 27th World Economic Forum on Africa in Durban, South Africa from 3 to 5 May 2017. The theme of the meeting is “Achieving Inclusive Growth through Responsive and Responsible Leadership.”
