Mehran Gul, The Forum's Lead, Digital Transformation of Industries, sold the rights to his prizewinning upcoming book The New Geography of Innovation, to William Collins. Mehran says the book brings together the themes of technology, entrepreneurship and globalisation. It will ask the question “what do different innovation cultures look like and how is that going to feed competition in the future?”

Finance will be key to building the internet infrastructure the Gulf States will need. "Investment in Internet infrastructure will help create more equal societies in the future. It is important that decision-makers become aware of the new models of financing presented in our new report on financing models," said Eric White, project lead of Internet for All at the World Economic Forum.
