World Economic Forum Appoints Joe Kaeser to its Board of Trustees

Geneva, Switzerland, 7 March 2022 – The World Economic Forum announces that Joe Kaeser, Supervisory Board Chairman at Siemens Energy AG and at Daimler Truck AG, is to join its Board of Trustees. With his track record of thought leadership and long-term success in his field, Kaeser will contribute to strengthening the Forum’s platform for public-private cooperation.

Kaeser currently serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy AG and Daimler Truck Holding AG. From 2013 until 2021, he was President and CEO of Siemens AG. Previously, since 2006, he served as Chief Financial Officer. In his 41-year career with Siemens, he has held different positions in various businesses across the globe, from Asia to Silicon Valley to Germany. He is a strong proponent of stakeholder capitalism and believes that companies need to contribute to the common good of society. His mantra is: “The business of business is to serve society.”
