Collaborative Infrastructure Delivery Initiative

Risk allocation and risk management are critical issues in the infrastructure delivery lifecycle. Imbalances in risk sharing in current contract structures pose a significant challenge to effective delivery and performance of major infrastructure projects, and further inhibit much needed innovation to a slow-adapting industry.

The Collaborative Delivery Initiative seeks to improve risk sharing and collaboration between public and private sectors and identify new models of cooperation that improve the delivery, quality, and performance of infrastructure projects. The Forum has partnered with the Engineering and Construction Risk Institute (ECRI) to facilitate dialogue and disseminate best practices in risk management. The Forum has also partnered with the UK Infrastructure Client Group to showcase the collaborative principles of the Project 13 enterprise delivery framework.
