Youth4Climate

Following the launch of Voice for the Planet, at first phase, the Istanbul Hub joint forces with WWF Turkey and designed a Carbon Challenge Programme to integrate as a separate module into a call to action for all national schools – They trained 100 young students tackling food waste, those students took concrete actions to transform their school cafeteria into a green generation restaurant through Meatless Mondays serving 600 students. At second phase, Istanbul Shapers launched the Youth4Climate as their first national initiative and the first youth movement in climate action of the country by partnering with the National Youth Parliament and mobilised 200 young people representing all cities in Turkey around climate crisis to take city-level actions and report the progress to the Istanbul Hub.
