Toilets have become a great talking point
By: Jack Sim, Founder of World Toliet Organization*
The last 2 days here at WEF East Asia were amazing: I met about 150 people and out of these, about half are people that I'll potentially be collaborating with in the immediate future for my work at World Toilet Organization. This ranges from people with great talents volunteering to help WTO in supply chain management, emergency sanitation design, media interviews, water related projects, sponsorships, pro bono consultancies, and technologies sharing.
I even made a Radio Talk Show off-site. In one of the session where we discussed Closing the Income Gap, I was the scribe and the ideas that came out of the discussion is now captured and followed-up with all participants. There is every likelihood that many of the people in that room will continue this conversation of how to convert this conversation into some real action leading to real change to improve the life of the low income and the poor. These are directly useful for my work at the BOP HUB.
I am so happy to look forward to another very productive day.
Toilets have become a great talking point by everyone here. I've converted many into activists now.
Last night, I took a very memorable souvenir : A photo with a person from World Trade Organization and me from World Toilet Organization: The 2 WTOs.
Cheers, Jack Sim
