Moral Dilemmas

After lunch we were watched a theatrical reenactment about moral dilemmas. Actors portrayed a western businessman with a struggling factory in China, his wife, a stay-at-home mom hoping to reenter the work world, and a quasi-massage therapist, who is an illegal Ukrainian woman with few options. A video segment added context from China of a migrant from the villages of china who works at the factory.

We broke into groups and explored the dilemmas and potential solutions. We used our bodies as ‘freeze frames’ to communicate our responses to the rest of the group.

Caroline Watson, YGL, led the reenactment and had a rep from each group do the freeze frame on stage and explain their interpretation dilemma resolution.

The YGLs played along, gained insights and created their freeze frames.
