Chinese Premier to open fifth Summer Davos in Dalian

3234734348_b7a822a18f_b Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao is scheduled to open the World Economic Forum’s fifth Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2011 which will take place in Dalian on 14-16 September. The Meeting, known as the Summer Davos, will bring together over 1,500 participants from more than 90 countries and is the foremost global business gathering in Asia.

This year’s Annual Meeting of New Champions theme, “Mastering Quality Growth”, reflects the importance of fundamentally rethinking existing growth models and shares the experiences of the individuals and companies that are at the forefront of enabling and delivering quality growth. Even as many traditional companies and industries struggle, Global Growth Companies are flourishing by building new bridges between emerging markets and the West, tackling new problems that old systems were not designed to handle, designing ways to improve society and the environment, and creating new business models as old ones collapse. Social Entrepreneurs, Technology Pioneers and Young Global Leaders will further enrich the New Champion perspective with their diversity of purpose and ability to transform challenges into opportunities.

The sessions listed below will be webcast live on the website of the World Economic Forum and livestreamed on our Livestream channel. All the sessions will also be available afterwards on the World Economic Forum’s YouTube channel.
