World Maritime Day

AmbrosiusRuwindrijarto "In countries like Indonesia, and perhaps many other arhipelagic and maritime countries, maritime and fisheries issues are always on the sideline, never adequately addressed by government and non-government alike. This is an irony as we know that those issues hold critical importance in terms of ecological services, climate protection, biodiversity conservation, and welfare of hundreds of millions of coastal communities.  We hope that the Maritime day will remind us of these importances and challenge government and non-government organizations, including social entrepreneurs, to put their attention, the best of their creativity, and passion to saving and sustainably managing maritime and coastal resources".  Ambrosius Ruwindrijarto
