Summit on the Global Agenda to develop new models
The upcoming Summit on the Global Agenda 2011 boasts a record number of registered participants. More than 800 thought leaders from the Network of Global Agenda Councils, the intellectual brain trust of the Forum, are scheduled to attend the two-day brainstorming.
The Summit, held October 10 to 11 in Abu Dhabi, is this year dedicated to developing new models for global decision-making, hosting experts from academia, business, civil society and government.
Given the unprecedented transformational change of our times and the speed such change continues to accelerate, decision-makers are struggling to take action on critical economic, political and societal issues. Adequate conceptual models to tackle this great transformation are lacking, accelerating the need for a global conversation.
The Global Agenda Councils aim to foster and create bold new models for decision-makers to resolve the fundamental challenges the world is currently facing.
You can join the discussion and watch the plenary sessions live from Abu Dhabi on the Forum’s website and on http://livestream.com/worldeconomicforum.
