Bill Gates: ‘We are reducing inequity faster than ever’

From innovation to vaccinations, Bill and Melinda Gates, Founders of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, address some of the most crucial issues affecting the developing world during the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting.

It’s strange we have people who are afraid we are innovating too fast and people who are afraid we are not innovating. The truth is we are innovating at a wonderful speed for the basic things we think everybody should get. We will be reducing that inequity far faster than ever before.

What used to take us in the developed world twenty or twenty-five years to get a vaccine that came out of the US and the UK out to a place in Africa, that lag time has now been cut down between one and three years and we now have the right strains.
