These are the world’s best MBA programmes

For the fifth time in six years, the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago has been named the world’s best MBA programme, in a report by the Economist.

Which MBA? is now in its 13th year, and combines student opinions with hard data. The ranking is weighted based on what respondents say is important, and covers four categories: opening new career opportunities, personal development and educational experience, increasing salary and the potential to network.

The Booth School of Business takes first place thanks to strong student support from its careers service, faculty and facilities. It can also boast 98% graduate employment within three months.

Second on the list is the Darden School of Business, at the University of Virginia. This year the institution leapfrogs the Tuck School of Business, which drops to third. Harvard Business School rises two places to take fourth position, while INSEAD has climbed from 18th last year to eighth this year.

The top 10 is dominated by American institutions, with only HEC Paris and INSEAD breaking this dominance. There are only six non-US business schools in the whole top 20.
