What are the world’s biggest climate concerns?
Drought and water shortages are the world’s biggest concern over climate change, outranking severe weather, extreme heat, and rising sea levels among people around the world, according to a new survey by Pew Research,
The second biggest concern in five of the six regions is extreme weather including storms and floods. The exception is the Middle East where extreme heat is seen as the bigger threat. Rising sea levels come a distant fourth in all regions apart from the US and Europe.
The PEW survey covered 40 countries and also analysed the overall level of concern over climate change.
