Using nothing more than your mobile phone, you can now get close to knowing what it’s like to be to a refugee trying to make it to Europe.
The powerful, innovative, concept was developed by BBC Media Action. For three minutes it turns your mobile into the phone of a refugee.
Refugees have faced criticism on social media for owning smartphones. But as the video makes clear, if you were fleeing your home you would probably take your phone too. It emphasizes the problems all refugees face with communication.
Hint: This video has been designed to be watched on mobile phones.
