The World Economic Forum's Book Club has just announced its December pick: Grand Union by Zadie Smith.
What is the World Economic Forum's Book Club?
The first collection of short stories from the bestselling author of White Teeth and The Autograph Man is our December pick. Smith was elected fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2002, and has won multiple awards including the James Tait Black Memorial Prize. She was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and is a tenured professor of fiction at New York University.
Grand Union is a collection of 19 stories, with many of them based in the United States. Listen to the author's interview with Waterstones below.
